Working at Heights
Working at Heights addresses the legal requirement when working on elevated location.  Occupational Health and Safety under the Canada Labour Code, Part II identifies the specific requirements that have to be met when working 8 ft (2.4 m) or higher above the nearest platform below.  Riggers or personnel working on communication towers have to ensure that they are in compliance with these federal regulations.  Employers must provide the training to meet those requirements.

Provincial standards and regulations apply to general workplace safety, including when Working at Heights except in those areas that are federally regulated.  Working on communication, microwave or broadcasting towers does not fall under provincial jurisdiction.

For more information on  the Safety Training and courses we provide for the novice or experienced climber/rigger, please contact our office.
